The Family Studio is a multi-purpose podcasting and content creation studio located at our family office in the heart of Pinelands, Cape Town, conveniently located between the N1, N2, and M5. Our latest podcast studio is designed to be immensely comfortable and relaxing, whilst remaining versatile and dynamic, providing podcasters and content creators alike with the visual options, professional gear, and expert assistance they need to create high-quality content.
Coming full circle back to a home studio.
CAYA Creative Studios initially started aiming to provide a 'home-studio-away-from-home' feel, and well, we've really come full circle. We've always loved the feeling of a home studio for creative projects - the comfort, flexibility and variety of options have always made it attractive to us.
This is what we do, and it's what we do for some of the biggest brands, creators and corporates in South Africa and all over the world. We designed this studio to be the perfect studio for us, a team of podcasting and content production professionals who require versatility and flexibility to facilitate immediate creative freedom. That said, it was important to us to make this studio also the most universally dynamic, usable and welcoming podcast & content studio in Cape Town.

Studio Producer
Every studio session booked includes one of our wonderful CAYA team members as an on-site Studio Producer They will ensure that your session is enjoyable, stress-free and assist you with any questions you may have with our gear.

Podcast Equipment
Every session comes with our world-class Podcast Audio Equipment rig, including three RODE Procasters, our Scarlett 18i20 ADA Interface, and an array of stands and peripherals. We only work with the best, and you should too!

Video Lighting
To help you make the most of our beautiful space, we also include our go-to podcast lighting rig of 2x GODOX SL60W Softboxes & 1x TOLIFO R1948 RGBAW Ring Light. This versatile setup is the backbone of our podcast lighting approach..

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?
Our standard studio operating hours are between 11a.m. and 6p.m., Monday to Friday. Our team do also work on productions and studio sessions on weekends and after hours, however non-standard hours bookings are liable to a 25% surcharge, and public holiday bookings are liable to a 50% surcharge, pending availability.
WHY ARE CAMERAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL?
1) Not all podcasts are video podcasts and 2) we work on podcasts ranging from simple single Full HD Cameras to podcasts with three or four 4K cameras, switchers, monitors and live feeds. Camera requirements are highly variable, and also often require additional staff or services, hence they are quoted seperately
HOW DO I BOOK?

2. Fill in the studio booking application form.
3. You’ll get an email from our team confirming any details necessary & with a quote.
4. Pay deposit and receive confirmation.
HOW DO I GET THE AUDIO RECORDING?
Your Producer will hand over the raw audio files on either a USB that you provide, or via a WeTransfer link, valid for one week. After you have taken receipt of the file, or once the WeTransfer link expires, we may delete the content from our storage devices.
WHAT IS A CO-PRODUCTION?
Selected creators with great podcast concepts will be given fixed terms of support where we will assist in producing their concepts. In exchange for a share of the podcast, we provide free studio time, access to gear, insight, and additional support to our co-productions. We want to support talented, motivated, driven creators to help further their message and realise their dreams.
STUDIO PRODUCER VS PODCAST PRODUCER?
A Studio Producer comes included in every session, and will assist with gear questions, guidance with the space, and facilitating your hospitality requirements.
A Podcast Producer is a trained technical professional who will set up, test, record and deliver the audio and video recording of your studio session.

Please ensure that you are familiar with these Terms & Conditions and House Rules before confirming your booking, as these do come into effect as soon as confirmation of deposit is received.
